I haven’t posted in awhile because I’ve been dealing with some personal struggles (mostly depression, I’ve had it since I was a teenager). I don’t have anything exciting to post but I have a few things I want to rant about I guess.
I’ve been having problems with eye doctors since I’ve lived where I currently live now. I’ve been wearing contact lenses since I was 13 and it can be difficult to get the right contacts that I can actually see out of. Two eye doctors here have given me a hard time about what I really need. 🙄 They put me in 2 week lenses that really don’t work for me because I can’t see very well out of them. Another place I went to before were able to get it right. Basically I have a problem with the lenses rotating too much on my eyes causing blurry vision. The place that got it right put me in monthly lenses (my current prescription doesn’t come in monthly lenses so they would have to adjust my prescription so I could wear them). I can also see much better out of them. The problem with other eye doctors is that they don’t want to adjust the prescription, they insist the prescription has to be exact and want to keep arguing with me over it. I’ve explained that adjusting the prescription for monthly lenes is the only thing that works but they won’t listen. The only reason I went to a different place this time is because I was out of contacts and also needed glasses and the regular place I went to took way to long (months) to get trial contacts in. They also wouldn’t even check the lenses on my eyes which I thought was very strange. i won’t be going back there. Now that I have contacts and glasses for now, I can go back to my usual place so things can be done correctly.
Another thing that has been bugging me is Bath & Body works using an awful shipping method that takes too long and my items have been arriving broken. 😒 I love Bath & Body Works but the way they package items is awful. I’m on the subreddit and many others are experiencing bad packaging and broken items. It’s really frustrating because some items can be pretty expensive or sell out quickly and I can’t get another. They always make it right but I think they need to do something about the way they package things.
Good to see you posting again, Erin, sorry to hear depression has been making things harder lately. It takes a lot to show up and write even when you’re not feeling great, so kudos for that. The contact lens situation sounds genuinely maddening, I wear monthly ones and can’t even begin to count how many times I forgot to order new ones so I had to scramble to order them with next day delivery. I would go crazy if I had to have them tweaked with my moderate -3 myopia. Hope you can get back to your usual place soon and get it sorted properly. And fingers crossed Bath & Body Works figures out their packaging situation, getting broken stuff is the worst!
