Might be moving into a different apartment

I spoke with the assistant manager today and told her I was seriously considering taking up her offer on moving to a different apartment. The exterminator still can’t get rid of the rat problem and it’s highly unlikely that he will. I’m also still having issues with hot water. She told me to check back with her in April because there isn’t an apartment available right now. I will need more time than that, I’d say at least 2-3 months because of everything going on right now. I need more time to get all my ducks in a row. I also would have to weigh the pros and cons of a downstairs apartment versus an upstairs one.

I came down with an awful cold a couple days ago, and it has been making me miserable. Because of the medications I’m on, my options are limited on what type of cold medicine I can take. The one the pharmacist recommended is not helping at all, and I just can’t get any sleep because of the congestion and pressure in my head. I was told to drink water and rest. How do I rest with insomnia? Also, If I lie in bed too long, my back starts killing me. I really hope I get better soon because I can’t even taste any food.

I was upset that I had to cancel my therapy appointment today, but I just couldn’t go because I’m sick. There are so many things I need to talk about and work through, I hope I’ll be able to get another appointment at a later date.

  1. It would be good if you could get the new apartment, but sometimes you do need that time to think about it and decide. I hope things will work out.

Sorry to hear that you’re sick! I hope you are feeling a lot better soon.

  2. Good luck deciding on whether or not you want to move to the downstairs apartment and getting over your cold. :) That can always be rough.

By the way, I like your name. ;)

I need to get setup to go to the behavioral therapist on [the military] base but I don’t want to do it because my current insurance expires on my birthday so I’m going to have to start paying for health insurance and I’m not sure I’m going to continue paying for Tricare. It is expensive. From what the Drs in the past have told me I have mild clinical depression and anxiety issues. So I know how bad it can be sometimes.

  3. Good luck with figuring out if a move is right for you. From the wording of your post I take it you’re in an upstairs apartment right now? While a downstairs apartment would give you easier access, there’s always the increased quiet and privacy associated with an upstairs apartment.

Feel better soon! My husband was just sick with some head gunk that kept him miserable for a MONTH. Sinus decongestants seemed to help him the most, along with prescription codeine cough syrup. Are either of these an option for you?

    1. No, I’m in a downstairs apartment. I don’t like it at all. The people above me make loud noise at all hours of the night, they’ve been told to stop because the lease states that noise at night has to be minimal, but I guess they don’t think rules apply to them. Also, when their toilet and sink overflowed, all the water ran into my apartment.

No I can’t take anything like that.
